Deputy Sheriff Heath Gumm Fundraiser


This fundraiser is now complete. In memory of  Deputy Sheriff Heath Gumm, 100% of the profits from this fundraiser will be donated to the Colorado Police Officers Foundation to directly benefit the family. A total of $14,536.29 has been donated. Thank you for your support.

Deputy Heath Gumm was shot and killed during a foot pursuit near 88th Avenue and Dawson Street in Thorton. Deputies had responded to a disturbance call around 7:30 p.m. before becoming involved in the foot pursuit of the subject. The male subject opened fire on the deputies, fatally striking Deputy Gumm in the chest.

The subject was later apprehended, and a search continued for two additional subjects.

Deputy Gumm served with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office since 2013. He is survived by his wife and family.
