Remembering Police Officer Vu Nguyen | Give Blue | $497.32 Donated

Police Officer Vu Nguyen collapsed during a training exercise and passed away on July 6, 2018.

Officer Nguyen was 50 years old and is survived by his wife and two children. He previously served with the Cleveland Division of Corrections for four years and served with the Cleveland Division of Police for over 20 years.

We started our Give Blue Fundraiser to support his family. We send our deepest thanks to everyone that took part and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in honor of Officer Nguyen.

“This loss was a shock. Vu was like a second dad to my daughter. We could always count on his help if we needed him for anything,” Ciaccia wrote. “At work and around northeast Ohio, everybody knew him. His personality was larger than life. A total donation of $497.32 was made to the Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association, a 501(c)(3) non-profit fund selected by the Cleveland Division of Police Department.
