by Kelleigh Lamb May 01, 2018

Police Officer Phillip Meacham was shot and killed after being pulled over by a police impersonator on March 29, 2018.

Officer Meacham was 38 years old and is survived by his wife and daughter. He previously served with the Christian County Sheriff's Office for 12 years and served with the Hopkinsville Police Department for one year.

The Give Blue Fundraiser launched to support the family of Officer Meacham during this difficult time. The fundraiser inspired beautiful testimonies towards Meacham and his dedicated service. Wsend our deepest thanks to everyone that took part and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in honor of Officer Meacham.

“It's a family. Many people have been on calls with officer Meacham. It's like losing their own brother,” said Lt. Kyle Spurlin. “He was one of those guy you never heard complain. You never heard him say a bad thing about anyone. His character is what makes this even tougher.” - WSMV

A total donation of $1,103.34 was made to Supporting Heroes, as requested by the immediate family. This donation will honor the service and sacrifice Officer Meacham willingly gave.

God bless you, Phillip Meacham. May you rest in peace.
