Police Officer Jesus Cordova was shot and killed while attempting to apprehend a carjacking suspect on April 27, 2018.
Officer Cordova is survived by his expectant fiancee and three children. He previously served with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Office for 10 years and served with the Nogales Police Department for one year.
Our Give Blue Fundraiser was launched to support the family of this fallen hero. We send our deepest thanks to everyone that took part and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in honor of Officer Cordova.
"I can assure Chuy didn't think twice about pursuing the suspect knowing full well the danger he faced," he said. "You see, like every other officer, Chuy took an oath to serve and protect and in the afternoon of April 27, 2018, that's exactly what he did." - Nogales Police Chief Roy Bermudez, azcentral.com
A total donation of $1,524.63 was donated to C.O.P.S., as requested by the immediate family. Cordova's sacrifice will never be forgotten.
God bless you, Jesus Cordova. May you rest in peace.
