Police Officer Craig drowned during a dive training accident in the currents of the Niagra River on October 13, 2017.

Officer Lehner was 34 years old. He served with the Buffalo Police Department for nine years, where he served in the K-9 Unit with his dog, Shield. He was also a veteran of the Army National Guard.

Officer Craig Lehner, Give BlueSupporters from across the country responded to our Give Blue fundraiser, set up to honor Officer Lehner's memory. We send our deepest thanks to everyone that took part and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in honor of this hero.

"He was just a great guy," said Buffalo Police Lt. Jeff Rinaldo. "An all-around gentleman."  -Buffalo Law Journal

A total donation of $7,872.63 was made to the Buffalo Police Benevolent Association. The donation will continue the great service that Craig provided to his community.

God bless you, Craig Lehner. May you rest in peace.
