by Kelleigh Lamb May 15, 2018

Police Officer Rob Pitts was shot and killed while performing a homicide investigation on May 4, 2018.

Police Officer Rob Pitts was 45 years old and is survived by his children. He served with the Terre Haute Police Department for 16 years.

Our Give Blue Fundraiser launched to support the family and community of Terre Haute. We send our deepest thanks to everyone that took part and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in honor of Officer Pitts.

“This is one of our sons who gave us everything he had,” Donnelly said. “When called, he didn’t step aside, he said take me. Let me step up and let me do the job.” - U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly, The Tribune-Star

A total donation of $2,534.26 was made to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, as requested by the family.

God bless you, Rob Pitts. May you rest in peace.
