Remembering Elise Ybarra | Give Blue | $1,374.33 Donated

Detective Elise Ybarra was killed in a vehicle accident on August 6, 2017 while en route to attend the Crimes Against Children Conference in Dallas. Two other detectives were also in the vehicle and suffered non-life threatening injuries.

Detective Ybarra was 33 years old. She served as patrol officer for two years and worked in the department’s special victims unit. Ybarra is survived by her husband and 10-month-old daughter.

Give Blue

Our Give Blue fundraiser was set up to honor the memory of this fallen hero. The community of Abilene joined together to commemorate her dedicated service. A total donation of $1,374.33 was made to the Abilene Police Foundation. We send our deepest thanks to everyone that participated and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in her honor.
