Remembering Detective Kristen Hearne | Give Blue | $3,119.05 Donated

Detective Kristen Hearne was shot and killed while responding to reports of a stolen vehicle on September 29, 2017. She and her partner were ambushed upon arrival. The other officer involved was also wounded and survived.

Detective Hearne was 29 years old and served with the Polk County Police Department for five years. She is survived by her husband and 3-year-old son.

Our Give Blue fundraiser began and the community of Polk County unified to show their appreciation for the service of Detective Kristen Hearne. We send our deepest thanks to everyone that participated and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in honor of our fallen hero.

A total donation of $3,119.05 was made to the fund set up on www.officerdown.us in her memory. The donation will continue the dedicated service that Kristen displayed.
