Deputy Sheriff Patrick Rohrer and Deputy Sheriff Theresa King were shot and killed as they transported a prisoner after a court hearing on June 15, 2018.

Deputy Rohrer was 35 years old and is survived by his wife and two children. He served with the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office for seven years.

Deputy King was 44 years old and is survived by her three children. She served with the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office for 13 years.

Our Give Blue Fundraiser began after this senseless killing to support the community of Wyandotte County and the heartbroken families. We send our deepest thanks to everyone that took part and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in honor of Deputy Rohrer and Deputy King.

"They fought and they continued to fight until they couldn't fight any longer -- because that is what they were called to do," said Max Sybrant, president of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge 40. - FOX 4

A total donation of $838.94 was made to the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 40, as directed by the department.
