Deputy Sheriff Heath Gumm was shot and killed during a foot chase on January 24, 2018.
Deputy Gumm was 32 years old and is survived by his wife and family. He served with the Adams County Sheriff's Office for four years.
This tragic event marked the second loss in Colorado's law enforcement in just one month. When the Give Blue Fundraiser began, the state of Colorado came together again to offer their support for the family of our fallen hero, Deputy Gumm.
"We don't know how we are going to make it through today, tomorrow or next week," Jim Gumm, Heath's father, said during the funeral, "but looking around this room, I can tell that we have massive amounts of support." - 9News
A total donation of $14,536.29 was donated to the Colorado Police Officers Foundation to directly benefit the family. The donation will continue the dedicated service Deputy Gumm displayed to his community. His sacrifice will never be forgotten.
God bless you, Heath Gumm. May you rest in peace.
