Corporal Dale Hallman died in a single-vehicle crash while on his way to provide K9 assistance to track down an armed suspect with a child on April 6, 2018. His K9 partner survived the accident.
Corporal Hallman is survived by his expectant wife and two sons. He served with the Saluda County Sheriff's Office for 5 years, where he was awarded the Medal of Valor. He also served as a lieutenant with the Saluda County Fire Department.
Our Give Blue Fundraiser launched and inspired numerous donations for the family of Corporal Hallman. We send our deepest thanks to everyone that took part and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in honor of Corporal Dale Hallman.
"We shall always remember that he was trying to make the world a better place to live," the Rev. Lee Cothran said of Hallman, a five-year veteran of the sheriff's office. "Dale laid down his life to help make this a better world for all of us." - The State
A total donation of $569.02 was made to the Corporal Dale Hallman Memorial Fund, which directly benefits the family.
God bless you, Dale Hallman. May you rest in peace.
