Police Officer Brian Shaw was shot and killed while making a traffic stop on November 17, 2017. The passenger exited the vehicle and fled on foot. The subject opened fire and fatally wounded Officer Shaw in the chest during the pursuit.

Our Give Blue fundraiser was set up in his memory. An amazing outpouring of supporters from across Pennsylvania showed what his service meant to them. Thousands of people took part in the fundraiser and spread news of his sacrifice over social media. We send our deepest thanks to everyone that participated and continues to wear their Thin Blue Line Bracelet in honor of Officer Shaw.
A total donation of $12,563.22 was made to the Officer Derek Kotecki Scholarship Fund. In turn, the administrator of this fund donated $12,563.22 to the Officer Brian Shaw Memorial Fund, to directly support the family of our hero. The donation will continue the honorable service Officer Shaw displayed. His bravery will never be forgotten.
God bless you, Brian Shaw. May you rest in peace.
