On December 11, 2018, while dutifully serving with the Jonesboro Arkansas Police Department K9 Gabo was shot five times while apprehending a suspect. Fortunately, the bullet and stab protective vest donated by Vested Interest in K9s saved K9 Gabo's life. K9 Gabo served several more years with the Jonesboro Arkansas Police Department before eventually passing away on January 1st, 2020.
